Welcome to Ballymena Motorcycle Training's CBT page.
CBT was introduced to Northern Ireland on 21st February 2011.
Its aim is to better prepare people to ride on the road.
It consists of five elements spread over three modules. The first
4 elements are basically carried out in an off road setting. The
5th element comprises of 4 hours of on road training (which is
usually taken in 2 x 2 hour sessions).
If you hold a vehicle licence which is dated prior to
21/2/11 you have until 21/2/12, (that's a full year), to pass your
motorcycle test.
If your vehicle licence is dated after 21/2/11 you are
required by law to take your CBT before you can ride
unaccompanied on the road.
We can be contacted by email or phone with any queries you may have.
Motorcycles & moped can be provided for your full test or
CBT. |
